Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Determine job requirements
  2. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
  4. Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
  5. Check instrumentation system components
  6. Inspect the operational function of each component and test in accordance with procedures
  7. Assess operation of each component against specifications
  8. Identify, repair/replace faulty instrumentation system components
  9. Dismantle faulty system components and repair according to manufacturers'/site specifications
  10. Select replacement parts from manufacturer catalogues and listings to required specifications
  11. Reassemble system components and test for correct operation and assessment against specifications
  12. Confirm correct operation of the instrumentation system according to SOPs
  13. Adopt appropriate follow-up procedures
  14. Complete service reports in accordance with SOPs
